Ouch. I don’t know how I can ever recover my dignity.
It’s that time again, when Becky has been caught red-handed doing something stupid and/or gratuitously self-serving and/or criminal and knowing full well that there is no way to back-peddle, deny or squirm her way out of it, Becky falls back on her reliable triple-play of trivialisation, distraction and playing the victim card about being bullied by the misogynist conspiracy – with the usual quote mining, context abuse, disregard for reality and outright deception.
Becky takes exception to my calling her “dumber than dogshit” (and a shopping list of other crimes I’ll return to later) over her latest boot-in-mouth numbskullery in proclaiming to the world, with a very sincere face, that the church executed Galileo. Evidently it’s just a twee boo-boo that should just be overlooked, especially when its from such an eminent and universally admired intellectual as herself, and that it’s all being blown out of proportion by nasty and jealous assholes. The Fembot Delusion - you cannot kill what does not live
When you profess to be a freethinker, it is a peculiar form of cowardice that has no shame at ridiculing Michele Bachmann1 with frat-boy sexual innuendo and peabrain insult over an unfortunate frankfurter incident, yet turns a deliberate blind eye to jaw-dropping idiocy when it’s perpetrated by one of your own.
But PZ Myers is a guy for whom double-, or even triple-, standards just don’t provide enough wiggle room. The man is a rainbow of expedient contradictions and knows no limits, always willing to conform to any ideology, providing it displays the correct (and mutually advantageous) rebellious and vengeful slave phenotype.
So when things are pretty slow over at the baboon board, a guy as resourceful as the Naked One – who never sees problems, only opportunities – takes full advantage and usefully fills the void by reaffirming his toilet slavery and resurrecting the carcass of the atheist misogyny meme for the umpteenth time –

Perhaps there may be an excuse to slip up like this in just a stream of consciousness conversation – but even then, you deserve to be joked about for it and have your nose rubbed in it for a good long time.
But this is not just a casual discussion. This is a planned video presentation. What a proud display of intellectual incoherence and sheer, butt stoopid ignorance. She doesn’t even care about what she says enough to support it with a quick peek in the cesspit of lies – she knows she is preaching to converts, many who are even dumber, and none of them ever check anything.
This, if you believe CFI and The Naked Emperor, is secularism’s golden girl. The role model to lead is into the future…

This is beyond merely repugnant, and shows what a sycophantic circle jerk secularism is under these “figureheads” –
Myers, who has no qualms whatsoever about flaying even the most trivial of slip ups in those outside his perverted liberal psychosphere, usually by mutating context and quote mining, cannot suppress the urge to ride like a white knight to Becky’s defense for what is way beyond a simple slip of the tongue. Pathetic. Myers, I hope you’ve at least got a hand job to show for all of your bootlicking efforts to date.

My first alarm bells about what I term new, new atheism began going off several years ago when the phenomenon of atheist social sites began surging in popularity.
Belief may be the death of intellect for the armchair philosopher, but for the realist, it is popularity, and populism, that does the real damage. And having experienced the heartbreak of watching some of these sites from point of inception, where they were amazing hotbeds of dissident discourse amongst some of the brightest on the ‘net, slowly degrade, as the masses arrived, into a toxic miasma of faux moralism, ideological axe grinding, Gollum inspired “don’t be a dick” censorship and witch hunting, it is difficult to not succumb to despair.
Figureheads which should have acted with integrity and shown clear leadership to maintain intellectual and ethical standards instead succumbed to the lure of chasing ratings and audience numbers at any cost. So hope got drowned in a bucket and what we ended up with instead was a bunch of godless Oprah Winfrey shows. (more…)

I no longer find it possible to differentiate the methodology of the catastrophist misandrist fairy tales and hate propaganda of Watson / Greta Christina et al. from that of radical islamists that have a thing about cartoons.
Both do backwards somersaults to tenuously manufacture crises out of irrelevant trivia; hyperbolise the hurt that they suffer (much like Chinese professional mourners); demonise dissenting voices that tell them to stop behaving like spoiled children; and enforce their own fascist brand of faux morality on the world whilst simultaneously demanding the right to spout whatever nonsense they please with absolute impunity.
Similarly, I see no difference between the embarrassing segments of the self labeled “liberal” and “humanist” left that throw around the accusation of islamophobia at any hint of criticism in lieu of rational discourse and the Watsonistas abuse of baseless accusations of misogyny for the same reason – mindless vacuity. Quite an appropriate image, cf. Atheist Flagellants And Puritans and subsequent babblings. I think Gervais has a pretty good handle on the idiocy that is overtaking the godless world.
The New, New Atheists are fetishising suffering for the sins of the world.
