Where Twitter wants you. Obedient and waiting to be gassed as the vermin you are.

The Twitter Rules

We believe that everyone should have the power to create and share ideas and information instantly, without barriers. In order to protect the experience and safety of people who use Twitter, there are some limitations on the type of content and behavior that we allow. These limitations are set forth in the Twitter Rules below.

Kawhhhaaaaack. Now that you have cleared all the slime in your system…

Yes, Twatter says that with a straight face and a pure and good “conscience”.

I had a 10 year old account there from which I never posted anything obscene or which could ever be conceived as “threatening”, just rubbing people’s noses in their own doo-doo a la Diogenes, I had it canned in perpetuity by the Twatterazi cultural commissars.

I let it be for 6 months, then decided to dip my toe in the waters again. Pffft. This is what it took to gain a ban again –

I’m glad Orwell is dead because this bullshit would kill him.

The internet, from it’s tortuous Arpanet birth, was conceived, designed and engineered to be free and open. To quote one of the founding fathers

The internet interprets censorship as damage and routes around it.

Nice sentiment. Which the “free” market chose to piss all over. Everything since has been engineering to lasso, muzzle and beat into submission the original concept of citizen freedom. The result? We now live in a thought police gulag. Engineered by Zuckerberg and a new age phag called Jack Dorsey.

My crime above was most likely to use the word “retard”. This is the future these cunts invest in, desire and want – AI algorithms monitoring you. Natural language is now censored. You will speak like a machine or the machine will silence you. This is the future you imbeciles sleepwalked into.

This just needs preserving before chickenshit deletes it. Nothing to add otherwise.

They have moved beyond parody

This apparently has something to do with Elevatorgate. Somehow. In some strange, distorted, funhouse mirror world.

There have been some peculiarly crazy people obsessing over me and Rebecca Watson, and how we’re evil tyrants out to destroy the life of good manly men. One of the craziest is Franc Hoggle, who early on staked out a position somewhere in the stratosphere above delusional Disneyland, with rants about how Watson had been preaching some New Age weirdness about “the divine yoni” and other such excretions from his imagination. Now though, he has gotten even with us all. He has taught us a lesson. (more…)

Poe’s Law

.

Poe’s Law states:[1]

Without a winking smiley or other blatant display of humor, it is impossible to create a parody of Fundamentalism that SOMEONE won’t mistake for the real thing.

.

Poe’s Law is an axiom suggesting that it’s difficult to distinguish between parodies of religious fundamentalism (or, more generally, parodies of any crackpot or extremist belief) and genuine proponents of religious fundamentalism, since they both seem equally insane. Conversely, real fundamentalism can easily be mistaken for a parody of fundamentalism. For example, some conservatives consider noted homophobe Fred Phelps to be so over-the-top that they argue he’s a “deep cover liberal” trying to discredit more mainstream homophobes. (or, the “don’t be a dick” redux)

(or, losing faith in atheism)

Accusations of ad hominem get used way too much nowadays, usually by folks that have no idea what it actually means and use accusations of ad hominem attack as an all purpose get-out-of-jail-free card when somebody makes them look (and feel) stupid; or when concocting spurious complaints of abuse and harassment in order to silence dissenting opinion that’s torn them a new one in online forums (by addressing their argument and NOT their person, a critical subtlety beyond their grasp). As of late, it has become a nauseatingly prevalent practice on atheist forums in particular (like the ones that may have just spammed you to get your vote here). (more…)
