You’re tough to get a laugh out of, franc, so I’m happy my bit of pixelated mayhem resonated with you.
Over at the “gates of rape loving Hell”, you said it was “a Cynic tour de force”. Not being overly familiar with the tenets of Cynicism, that kind of made me scratch my head. I looked it up on Wiki and saw that one central tenet is “The ideal Cynic would evangelise; as the watchdog of humanity, it was their job to hound people about the error of their ways. The example of the Cynic’s life (and the use of the Cynic’s biting satire) would dig-up and expose the pretensions which lay at the root of everyday conventions.”
So yeah, I get it now. Hah. Kinda sums up the Pit as a whole, at least when it comes to the reason the place was created in the first place.

This kind of mutli-layered mockery is the spine of Cynicism. I still giggle like an idiot at it. It so perfectly captures the Prune – her narcissistic inflated opininion of her own intellect; her perpetual wallowing in victimhood; the bone dry humourlessness; the failure to navigate a real world that is beyond her comprehension…
Her brain is indeed harassing her – it is what concocts all her misery. If Ophie was a dog, you’d be cruel not to shoot it. This is a masterwork, whether intentional or not. Captures her precisely.

Oh, the meanings behind it were intentional. The way you describe it (and the Prune) is pretty much the way I thought about that ‘shop when putting it together (especially the wallowing in victimhood and “Her brain actually IS what is harassing her” parts). I just didn’t connect it to Cynic philosophy, because I am admittedly ignorant about it. When it was done I was pleased it worked on more than one level.
Anyway I’ll shut up now. Thanks again for the kudos.

It’s what differentiates the ‘pit from the baboons. and why the baboons will never understand the ‘pit. It’s a case of Borat vs. Fight Club. They can only attack the personal, like Sacha Baron Cohen laughing at poverty stricken east-Euros, because their minds are so myopic and so display their feebleness. It takes elegance to attack ideas and mentalities. They hate because we make them feel dumb – that is the bottom line. Losers.

I like this particularly enjoyed this ‘shop more than most, just like Franc. For the untrained eye, it doesn’t appear photoshopped. Her face matches up perfectly. If it wasn’t for the fact that you have to be part of an in-group to get the joke, this would be headed for memedom!
