To say the baboons are too obtuse to “get” the message is a bit naive. They “get” it alright. They just don’t fucking care. Narcissist/psychopaths are like that. (for the squeamish, unpleasant content warning)

I’m confused, Franc. Has youtube embedding changed to force an extra video underneath it that is just an ad only?
August 16, 2012 at 8:03 pm
And why the fuck do I have this ridiculous avatar?
August 16, 2012 at 8:05 pm
After I watched the main vid, and played the ad vid for a couple seconds, and refreshed due to commenting, the ad vid disappeared, leaving only your intended vid.
Don’t fuck with me, youtube!
August 16, 2012 at 10:06 pm
there should be a “close ad” button in its top right corner
August 20, 2012 at 9:11 am
It hasn’t come back since the first time. It happened on my roommate’s computer too. I’m thinking it was probably youtube testing a new ad method right at that moment. They test shit, unannounced, in various cities/countries. Weird new things appear and then disappear.

Install Adblock plus in Firefox. I didn’t even know youtube had ads until someone told me.
August 20, 2012 at 9:12 am
Luckily, it just never came back after that first time.

Franc is blogging again!
Well, sorta. You got me all excited cause nobody covers the Baboons and their zookeepers with more insight than you do.
Read Justin Vacula, for instance. He’s still perplexed that they are acting un-skeptically. Even the DMCA hasn’t quite smacked him to reality.
Woolie Bumblebee is a female atheist blogger. But she dyes her hair crazy colors like Becky, so maybe she’s hip enough that she won’t be automatically labeled as a gender-traitor arguing from ignorance. The video was pretty well-done for a text and pic only message.
I predict the Skepchicks will ignore (dismiss) the video
Please consider going back to regular blogging. My feed reader feels abandoned! GL is on the top of my Favorites list.
Every once in a blue moon, I get a notice that you’ve posted a new article. Then when I click to go to the website and cont reading, I get a page error.
Quit teasing me, Franc! Please stop starving Feedly or it will die of a broken heart!
;( I will torture you with 🙂 😉 ;D ❤ ;*(
An without asking permission first, come here ya big hunk o' manly man!
(((Franc))))
That's a cyber hug 😛

Don’t DMCA me for using your work as my avatar. Just ask, and I’ll be more than happy to go back to my :X avatar.
K?

There’s a big fat creative commons license on the main page. Steal everything. Just gimme a cut if you profit.
August 16, 2012 at 10:12 pm
I have a belly full of bile that’s about to explode. The hard part was doing the first one. This was it, nice and simple. Now the hard part, which half finished one to attack first… (((spectator)))
August 16, 2012 at 9:52 pm
Oh great I just doxxed my real nym!
Don’t believe what they say about her! She isn’t involved in the atheist “community”
August 16, 2012 at 10:08 pm
Fixed that. Just for you. And only you.
August 17, 2012 at 2:45 am
Awe! Thanks, Franc.
XXOO
August 16, 2012 at 9:53 pm
And I don’t sockpuppet with the other nym, either.
No Radial Tire activity, ever!
August 17, 2012 at 7:49 am
Glad you’re back. Was beginning to wonder if you got vaporized.
August 19, 2012 at 11:20 am
Good to see you back.
August 20, 2012 at 3:57 am
I finally got around to watching Fishhead about the same time you stopped blogging. I have to say… If I recall correctly, the first half was interesting, then it got way too fucking preachy about things like psychiatric drugs and “what we can do” which basically amounted to something like “be nice to each other.” They offered little or no evidence that there was a rise in sociopathy, much less evidence to their implicit suggestion that such an alleged rise could be attributed to psychiatric drugs.
Good to see you back. Look forward to more.

I agree. But you folks are smart enough to not need to be warned. You can work it out for yourself. I like the opening 90 seconds particularly – Chrys Stevenson, the cunt that did the hatchet job on me, in a nutshell. (Ping back just for you Chrys you deceitful toilet slug. How’s your paranoia treating you?)
no evidence that there was a rise in sociopathy
::cough:: Becky and the baboons?

Not trying to warn anybody off at all! Anyone interested in the subject should watch it for themselves. I’m just venting frustration because the movie could have been so much better…!
Probably a few true sociopaths in there particularly among the “alphas,” but I suspect that 90-95% of the baboons are just typical millennial adolescents and adults. You know… the products of an extravagant or neglectful upbringing who were probably raised by single parents, brought up on self-esteem, “earned” trophies just for participating, and have never had to take responsibility for any of their own actions ever. Just my guess though…

OL: Not trying to warn anybody off at all! Anyone interested in the subject should watch it for themselves.
Indeed. It’s a topic that needs far more attention. The postulation linking antidepressant use to sociopathy/psychopathy in particular. I know from personal experience that you do indeed lose empathic connections – you really do care less.
August 20, 2012 at 2:55 pm
I do understand what they’re getting at and why, and I agree it needs more attention. Even so, what about the breakdown of the family, the collective failures of parents, the loss of cultural values (not to be confused with religion), and the metaphorical “distancing” between people that has been taking place for some time now? It just seems to me that avoiding talking about those issues is perpetuating ignorance.
August 20, 2012 at 3:21 pm
Only so much you can pack into one hour. I think they wanted to cover shit that hasn’t been raised before.

The Hoggle is back.

Girl Writes What video. She makes an astute observation about the Surly Amy situation at 23 minutes and 58 seconds. Let’s watch.
