Women that deviate from orthodox ideology pose a particular conundrum for the Watsonistas. Their denied sexism leaks. They are simply incapable of dealing with women in the manner that they deal with men – open abuse and ridicule of genitalia and sexual inadequacy – so there is an equality fail. No matter, where there’s a will, there’s a way.

Here is a nice example of what gets done to female traitors, in this case by the baboon tag team of The Naked Emperor and Mr. Mackey.

A female community member posted an item on ‘tardbook (login required) after committing an unpeakable heresy – independently verifying some facts about the Elevatorgate fairy tale. After seeing an absurd claim that Irish hotel rooms don’t even have coffee1 (amongst other idiocies) on one of the baboon board’s affiliate blogs get swallowed unquestioningly, she actually checked. And, of course, found the absurdity to be what it was – absurd.

I would be lying if I said the response was surprising. If anything, it merely highlights the lather-rinse-repeat routine that the baboons rely on in situations where they have no conventional, civilised dialectic rebuttal (ie. all of the time). They attacked the person in a manner designed to damage –

This kind of attack vector, the implication of mental dysfunction, is not only not new, it is in fact so banal as to deserve a new, new atheist / new pseudo-skeptic Standard Operating Procedures manual entry. It is a preferred first option of attack against all uppity and independent women, and was used with gay abandon in the TamTamPamela lynching as a fairly recent unrelated example. In fact I’ll just quote what I wrote on that incident –

It is pretty disgusting. The godless equivalent of “sorceror” or “witch”.

Both Laden and Myers and the baboon hordes that yap-yap at their heels, the prune faced cunt Benson’s and the Zvan’s, though have taken these kinds of accusations beyond simple isolated slurs and elevated them to their own version of slut shaming – a new kind of secular shunning designed for maximum impact and damage, especially where possible, damage to professional reputations. The process is the same as that which has been used to destroy males in academia for close to half a century, now refined to target women that are disobedient and deviate from official dogma.

These are the brave and gallant white knights eternally riding to the rescue of poor, innocent little Becky Watson. Real “men” – more like hyenas that isolate wounded animals that display weakness. Both Myers and Laden know that the woman they are responding to has previously displayed vulnerability after earlier abuses from them. Myers via a now deleted Pharyngula wiki page2 dedicated to dragging her whole life through the mud, and Laden on his FTB blog. Knowledge of this weakness has emboldened them to attack her outside the safety of their lairs.

Myers in particular exemplifies this hyena-like behaviour. He no longer ventures into blogs where he knows people will stand up to him and hold their ground. He realises it will be no contest. Instead, he lurks in the shadows like a common bully and waits for one of the kids to show they feel vulnerable – then he pounces, as he did in the case of Adrienne Myers (no relation). Though Adrienne has been blogging about Watson’s idiocy for longer than I have, Myers was never to be seen. Until Adrienne displayed a vulnerable moment – that’s when he pounced. What a hero. What a man’s man. Wait for weakness, then spray the territory as conquered.

What absolute jaw-dropping hypocrisy. It beggars belief. These baboons, and virtually everyone associated with freefromthoughtblogs, relentlessly hurl accusations of sexism, misogyny, rape apologetics, advocacy of gender violence at people like me, and add epithets like gender traitor and collaborator for the girls, all without providing a single example of actual atheist misogyny where women have actually been harrassed or attacked in a manner endorsed by the movement – which is what their accusations necessitate. These same baboons then mount relentless harassment and vilification assaults against women within the movement on the grounds of “fighting sexism” to intimidate them into silence, drive them away from the movement and derail their professional careers…

Irony surrenders.
