“Politics have no relation to morals”
— Niccolo Machiavelli
“There is nothing more fearful than a barbaric slave-class which
has learnt to regard its existence as an injustice and is preparing to take revenge not just for itself but for all generations.”
— Nietzsche, The Birth of Tragedy
The more they carry on, the more they sound like white puritans a century ago whining about those filthy blacks. It’s just “socially redeeming” hatred. And nothing more.

They all wear glasses. Be as rational as they are – go out and punch the next person you see wearing glasses. This is the new Enlightenment.

I’m pretty sure this means people who wear glasses are stupid so how about I just throw-out my glasses? No four-eyes allowed.

I wear glasses too more often nowadays. Luckily for the planet, there are still folks like us that can still understand the difference between correlation and causation.
I’m starting to view Elevatorgate as a kind of Kristallnacht – which initially precipitated untold ugliness, but, also ultimately doomed itself to failure. Our communities cannot go on being this stupid forever. These crypto-fascists will eventually be assigned to historical curiosity and example of what not to be.

What this PZ Myers/Watson clusterfuck has taught me is that we cannot take anyone at face value. We should pay heed to those hints of nastiness when they crop up — not forgive or rationalize them away so quickly because we like to think that these people are on “our” side.
